- **Event Description**: Memorial Hall Museum invites you to our most ambitious exhibit ever, titled “Brewing Massachusetts: How Beer Shaped the Bay State.” This exhibit is made possible by a grant from Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Through rare artifacts, photographs, and documents, this exhibit will tell the story of Massachusetts brewers from the Pilgrims to the present.

This exhibit will be held at the Indian House Memorial, located at 107 Old Main Street, Deerfield, MA. The Indian House Memorial is a replica of a real Revolutionary era tavern owned by a local Tory supporter, David Hoyt during the Revolution. 

Tickets to the exhibit will  be $5 or free for members and will go towards the repairs of Bloody Brook Tavern. The Bloody Brook Tavern, originally located in South Deerfield, was moved in 1929 to Old Deerfield Main Street to highlight its importance in Deerfield history.

No state has been more impacted by brewing than Massachusetts. But this story hasn’t been told in one place, until now. “Brewing Massachusetts” will be open during the 250th anniversary of 1776, a landmark nationwide event that will shine a spotlight on American history.
