Decorah area native Lucas Blekeberg returns to his hometown to perform solo there for the first time in about a decade.
Locally known for engaging with the Western Home, Crater City, and Bread & Butter String Bands as well as Jeni Grouws and many others, Lucas journeyed through several countries and returned to the Midwest in 2023, where he makes his living performing, creating, and collaborating unrestrained by genre and setting.
His one-man show features an evolving mix of favorites: groovy pop-rock hits of the '70s; original songs combining sensibilities for folk, pop, and jazz; and arrangements of old-time tunes and bluegrass. Each show is curated for its venue, and this one is for his Decorah area friends of yore, and, if he's lucky, new friends as well.
