Bipolar Birding

Suffering from cabin fever? Wishing to get away to somewhere warm? Or maybe thinking about someplace even colder will make an Iowa winter more bearable?

Join Upper Iowa Audubon at the All Vets Club (104 State St.) in Decorah on Thursday, 19 March 2026, at 7:00 p.m. for "Bipolar Birding," a program presented by Suzanne Gucciardo. Drawing on 12 years of travel experience, Suzanne will describe the stark contrasts between North and South Polar and Subpolar regions. Differences in basic environmental conditions produced different wildlife communities and led to different human histories. These differences are best illustrated by a look at the birds and other wildlife found near the ends of the Earth.
