The Iguanas bring their infectious blend of roots rock, soul, and salsa straight from New Orleans to The Princess Theatre on Friday, April 10.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, February 12 at 10AM CST via princesstheatre.org
ABOUT THE SHOW
A fixture of the New Orleans music scene for more than two decades, The Iguanas have built a devoted following with their infectious blend of Tejano and Conjunto sounds from the Texas-Mexico border region, the blues and jazz of the American South, New Orleans R&B, and the vibrant rhythms of the Caribbean and Mexico. With accordion and bajo sexto woven seamlessly alongside electric guitars and driving rhythms, their sound redefines Americana — crossing cultures, styles, eras, and even languages.
Imagine if Bourbon Street, Muscle Shoals, and Plaza de México were all within earshot of one another — The Iguanas would be the musical conduit connecting them. Their dynamic performances and deep musical roots have led members of the band, collectively and individually, to collaborate with legendary artists including Charlie Rich, Alex Chilton, Willy DeVille, Emmylou Harris, Allen Toussaint, and Pretty Lights.
Presale for Princess members will begin February 10, with tickets available to the general public starting February 12.
On the day of the show, doors will open at 6PM, and the
performance will begin at 7PM.
