Over time, this chronic stress can contribute to caregiver burnout, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and strain within family systems. This presentation examines caregiver burnout through a trauma-informed and neurobiologically informed framework. Participants will explore how prolonged stress impacts emotional regulation, executive functioning, identity, and relational dynamics. The session integrates current understanding of stress physiology with practical, evidence-informed strategies that support caregiver resilience and sustainable family functioning.The AAC will be joined by Elizabeth Ainsworth, LMSW for this in-person program. This in-person event free, but space is limited.About Elizabeth:Elizabeth Ainsworth, LMSW, is a psychotherapist and founder of Rise Gently Therapy in Marietta, Georgia. She specializes in supporting mothers and caregivers experiencing burnout, particularly within neurodiverse families. Her work integrates clinical training and lived experience to examine how parental nervous system regulation influences family systems and therapeutic outcomes.Parking Information: Limited parking available out front of building; visitor parking available at Starvine Parking Deck (1945 Starvine Way, Decatur, GA 30033) with 5 minute walk to building.
