A Spooky Soiree, circa 1922
The year is 1922. The devastations of world events and the chaotic years in between have served as a catalyst to a resurgence in the spiritualism movement and a newfound obsession with contacting the dearly departed. Halloween – also known as All Hallows Eve – is a time for elaborate parties, finding your future spouse, distracting mischievous youths, communing with spirits, and peering into your future.
Join us for an evening of ghostly storytelling, lively amusements, a dive into the history of early 20th century spiritualism, and plenty of tricks and treats. Costumes encouraged - dress as a frightening flapper, a ghoulish gangster, a mystified mummy, or a zozzled zombie! Light snacks and desserts will be served, as well as an assortment of libations. Ticket required.
