At last! After a year of planning, Mittens for Detroit is hosting a fun afternoon where you can learn how to sew upcycled mittens! The Henry Ford Centennial Library has graciously offered to be our location for this event! Here's the information:

Mezzanine/3rd Floor (there is an elevator)
Parking is in the rear of the building
We will provide kits, you'll bring your basic sewing kit. You can be at any skill level. This is an 18 years and older event... and if you are younger, just bring your grown-up with you!
Pre-registration is required. This event is limited to 20 participants. Walk-in registration will not be accommodated. The link to register is below. We will contact you when your registration comes in!
There will be several sewing machines there, and participants are welcome to bring their own. We will meet at 1pm by the front door with a cart to carry your machines upstairs.
There is no fee, but a donation of a pair of new, warm, durable mittens or gloves would be welcomed.
This wonderful opportunity to work with Mary and find out how to create beautiful warm, durable upcycled mittens comes just in time for the holidays!
