IMPORTANT UPDATE: due to extensive construction at Fort Street Bridge Park and on Miller Road, this Saturday's MARCH ON! 2026 EVENT will begin on Miller Road south of the Dix intersection in Dearborn around 1 p.m. Look for the cars and people.

We will gather there for a short rally and sing along with Detroit Labor Song Singers before following the path of the 1932 Hunger Marchers and ending up UAW Local 600. This is where the original protestors met Dearborn police and Ford security forces.
By 2:00 p.m., we will proceed along Dix to UAW Local 600 (10550 Dix Ave, Dearborn, MI 48120), invoking the powerful footsteps and unwavering spirit of those who paved the way for workers’ rights. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. UAW Local 600 and music kicks off at 2:30 p.m. The festivities feature acclaimed local performers Don "Doop" Duprie, the pride of River Rouge, as well as rabble-rousing rockers Tony Paris and Sugarburn.
Event Schedule
1:00 p.m.– Gathering, rally & sing-a-long at the corner of Dix Ave. and Miller Roads in Dearborn, with Detroit Labor Song Singers, and speeches by elected officials and community leaders.
1:45 p.m.– March up Dix Ave, reenacting the 1932 Hunger March
2:00 p.m. – Doors open at UAW Local 600, 10550 Dix Ave, Dearborn, MI 48120
2:30 p.m.– Music by Don "Doop" Duprie, followed by Tony Paris and Sugarburn
Silent Auction & 50/50 Raffle throughout the afternoon
