– Mark your calendars and lace up your boots for a day of unity, music, and remembrance as March On! 2026 returns to honor the anniversary of the historic 1932 Hunger March. On Saturday, March 7, 2026, friends, families, activists, and community will gather to celebrate the spirit of resilience and solidarity that shaped the region’s labor movement.
The day begins at 1:00 p.m. with a gathering, rally and sing-a-long at Fort Street Bridge Park in Detroit, a significant side in local labor history, led by Detroit Labor Song Singers. Come raise your voice, join in song, and reflect on the courage of the original marchers who demanded justice in tough times. At 2:00 p.m., marchers will retrace the path of the 1932 Hunger March, walking up Miller Road toward Dearborn—invoking the powerful footsteps and unwavering spirit of those who paved the way for workers’ rights. The march culminates at UAW Local 600 (10550 Dix Ave, Dearborn, MI 48120), with doors opening at 2:00 p.m. and music kicking off at 2:30 p.m. The festivities feature acclaimed local performers Don "Doop" Duprie, the pride of River Rouge, as well as rabble-rousing rockers Tony Paris and Sugarburn.
