Sgt Chris Hampton Memorial 5k

Join us in Dearborn, Michigan on May 17 as we honor Sgt. Chris Hampton of the Dearborn Police Department

On November 25, 2020, during his tour of duty, our Dearborn Police family lost our colleague, Sgt. Christopher Hampton, to suicide. Chris was a remarkable man — a caring friend, loving son, brother, and father, and an exceptional police officer.

In 2021, the Dearborn Police Officers’ Charity established this annual run/walk in Chris’s memory. His passing underscored the critical importance of raising awareness about anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges — especially among first responders, who often suffer in silence.

We are honored to be selected as this year's charity recipient.
