The Chamber is installing the Christmas lights along Deals High Street in preparation for the Light Switch On which is arranged for the 22nd November (weather permitting).

October: raffle tickets go on sale 
At the end of October the Lights Team will be in their cherry picker putting up the large banners.
2nd November the string lights will be put up
8th November the Christmas trees are dressed at Castles Removals
9th November the Christmas Trees are installed above the participating businesses (they pay for these themselves).
22nd is the Light Switch On event.
4th January the lights will be taken down.

Why are we telling you this?
Because the Chamber relies on volunteers to roll up their sleeves and complete the installations, as well as the generosity of the local businesses for the funds, as the grant from the Town Council does not cover all the expenses.  
                                 We NEED your help.  
Some of our regular volunteers have had to retire (joints not being what they use to be) and businesses are finding this economy very tough.  If you can donate either your time, funds, donate a raffle prize or just buy one or many, please let us know by comment below or email enqiries@dwchamber.co.uk
