Our keynote speaker for the event will be Rick Kellow, the Founder and CEO of The Great Plate. Rick will present a talk entitled, "722: The Power of Resilience." Growing up in West Bend, Wisconsin, Rick faced numerous challenges. He struggled with dyslexia, hiding his difficulties from friends and teachers, and grappled with autism and anger, which nearly derailed his education—he barely graduated high school. Adulthood brought new trials, including legal issues, battles with mental health, and overcoming substance abuse. However, a turning point came when Rick found faith and embraced a more open approach to life. In 2010, inspired by a simple sketch for a product designed to prevent beverage spills while snacking, he embarked on the challenging journey to secure a patent. Many would have given up, but Rick’s perseverance led to the creation of the Original Great Plate, which is now approaching $10 million in sales and has recently launched in major retail outlets.
