Join local artist Carrie Dorski for a hands-on workshop creating a colorful, mandala-inspired design using mini fuse beads, finished on a natural wood hexagon. 

These smaller-scale beads—about a quarter the size of traditional fuse beads—allow for more detail, flexibility, and a uniquely satisfying building process. Participants will choose from a curated selection of bold, geometric patterns and build their design step-by-step using a guided layout. You’re welcome to follow a pattern exactly or experiment with your own color combinations along the way. Carrie will provide subtle guide points to help with symmetry and scale, making the process approachable for all skill levels. Each guest will leave with a finished piece mounted on a wood hex—perfect to display on a shelf or gift. No experience needed. All materials provided. Details: Duration: up to 2 hours Includes all materials Beginner-friendly Recommended for ages 12+ About the ArtistCarrie Dorski is a painter and Community Education Manager at NWTC’s Artisan and Business Center. Her work explores pattern, memory, and layered visual language, often blending structure with intuitive mark-making. Through both her artwork and teaching, she is passionate about creating accessible, meaningful creative experiences that invite people to slow down and engage with process.
