Building a strong talent pipeline and future workforce for the regional business community means ensuring the students of today have the necessary skills of tomorrow. The Daytona Regional Chamber in partnership with Volusia County Schools, hosts Level Up: Professional Skills and Personal Branding, a summit to equip high school juniors and seniors with the skills they need to launch a career. Level Up will be held November 4, from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. at Daytona State College's Mori Hosseini Center.
Student attendees will take part in this interactive program with business leaders sharing their expertise on the requirements of a professional workplace. Students will learn about the four following topics: Communication, Leadership, Organization & Time Management, and Punctuality & Work Ethic. Volunteers will lead the conversations in rotating 15-minute sessions.
Following the discussions on these vital employability skills, participating students will have an opportunity to engage in a small group business lunch with one of the business volunteers. The finale features a keynote speech from Charlene Greer, CEO of Jeep Beach.
