- **Event Description**: Our next Repair Cafe is on Sunday 15th of March, at Victoria Park Pavilion (just off the Daylesford Ballan Rd) from 1pm to 4pm. Look out for the flags at the entrance of the football oval/ caravan park. 

On the 15th March, Meg is offering a Workshop on ‘GUT REPAIR’’, with the theme on Fermenting Summer Veggies-align your Gut Health with the Rhythm of the seasons. Come and join us for an hour long FREE workshop [2.00pm-3.00pm], as we dive into the ancient art of lacto-fermentation, learning how to transform crisp summer veggies into tangy, crunchy gut healing superfoods.

What to Bring for the workshop:
Veggies to pickle [recommended veggies include: gherkins, string beans, carrots, beetroot, radishes, leeks, garlic, diakon and very small zucchinis.
Non iodised salt.
Herbs and spices [eg: garlic cloves, black peppercorns, bay leaves, fresh dill or dill seeds, mustard seeds, lemon slices and chilli
Leaves containing tannin [eg: grape, cherry, oak, horseradish, green or black tea, raspberry, or blackberry.
A measuring cup.
A tablespoon measure.
A small knife.
A chopping board.
As many clean jars and lids as you’ll need for your pickles.

If you don’t have your own homegrown veggies, please support our local farmers and buy you veggies from Edward and Florien at the Daylesford Sunday Market or from Hepburn Wholefoods Collective, Tonna’s and Harvest, also have a great range of organic vegetables.

We also have Fixers who can fix Bikes, mend clothes, get Electrical and mechanical items up and going, sharpen knives, scissors and garden tools, all for a donation, which helps to cover costs. While your items are being attended to, Dallas and Christina will delight in serving you a delicious afternoon tea for a kind donation. See you on Sunday for an afternoon of fixing and helping to keep things out of landfill.
