ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Learn how to knit a simple scarf, or squares for a rug, to keep you warm this winter.

Nikki Marshall will teach you the basics: how to cast on, knit plain stitch, purl, ribbed stitch, or mitred squares. She’ll also cover how to pick up dropped stitches, cast off, and read a knitting pattern.

WHAT TO BRING
? A ball or two of wool and two needles – thicker wool and needles will help your knitting grow more quickly, but make sure the needles are comfortable in your hands.

We also have Fixers who can fix Bikes, mend clothes, get Electrical and mechanical items up and going, sharpen knives, scissors and garden tools, all for a donation, which helps to cover costs. While your items are being attended to, Dallas and Christina will delight in serving you a delicious afternoon tea for a kind donation. See you on Sunday for an afternoon of fixing and helping to keep things out of landfill.
