Intro to FCBD American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance with Melanie
Join Melanie for an empowering ATS bellydance class on November 16th from noon to 2 p.m
In this two hour workshop, you’ll learn and practice the Level One slow and fast moves of ATS: taxeem, arm undulations, Arabic, body waves, and the 3/4 shimmy, just to name a few! Don’t forget to bring your zills!
*Zills at the studio to borrow too
This class is suitable for both beginners and seasoned dancers alike. Melanie Hexen, a certified Fat Chance Belly Dance instructor and proud Sister Studio member, has over 20 years of experience teaching bellydance.
American Tribal Style® (ATS®) is a modern, improvisational group dance form that originated in the United States. Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance® created ATS, drawing inspiration from the folkloric dances of the Middle East, India, Spain, and North Africa. ATS uses a shared vocabulary of movements and cues to allow dancers to improvise collectively, creating a unique and dynamic dance experience in every performance.
