Join us for a special community planting event to enhance shade, cooling, and biodiversity.
Together, we’ll be planting over 200 native plants as part of City of Darwin’s commitment to creating a cool, clean, and green city. This project supports our Greening Darwin Strategy, Climate Emergency Strategy, and draft Place and Liveability Plan.
What’s happening on the day:
🌿 Planting native species chosen for their biodiversity value
☕️ Free coffee and tea available for participants
👩🏫 City of Darwin officers on site to guide and answer questions about caring for your own native garden
🧤 Sunscreen, gloves, and cold water provided
👒 For your comfort and safety, please wear a hat and enclosed shoes. 🥾
By taking part, you’re helping to enhance shade and cooling in the community and, support local biodiversity.
Together, lets create a greener, healthier, and more welcoming neighbourhood.
See you there!
