Join us as we welcome in the energy of summer with a gentle, family friendly forage walk through Bold Venture Park in Darwen.

This walk will be led by Pete Compo from Pendle Plant Craft, who will guide us through the park and help us notice the seasonal plants, wild foods and natural remedies growing around us. It’s a chance to slow down, look a little closer, and reconnect with the land in a way many of our grandparents and great grandparents would have known so well.

Before supermarkets, processed food and busy modern life, people lived much more in rhythm with the seasons. They knew what was growing, what could be eaten, what could be used for teas, tonics and simple home remedies, and how nature supported health through every part of the year.

This walk is about bringing some of that knowledge back.

We’ll explore local plants, seasonal wisdom and the simple joy of being outdoors together. You don’t need any previous experience, just come with curiosity, comfy shoes and an open mind.

This event is suitable for all ages.
