🌺 Remembrance Day – Lest We Forget 🇬🇧
Joins us on Sunday the 9th of November to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women who served in the two World Wars and in later conflicts around the world.
We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to defending peace and protecting the freedoms we cherish today 🕊️
A United Service of Remembrance will be held at St Peter’s Church, Darwen, at 9:00 a.m., followed by wreath laying at the War Memorial in Bold Venture Park at 10:45 a.m.
A bus will be available from Darwen Bus Station, departing at 10:30 a.m. (boarding from 10:10 a.m.) for those attending the wreath-laying ceremony.
At 11:00 a.m., we invite everyone to observe a moment of silence to honour all who have served and sacrificed for our nation.
