Aidacare is pleased to host Gregan McMahon, CEO of YourVoice, for an interactive professional development session introducing YourVoice — Australia’s first universal voice-control solution for adjustable beds.
This practical session will demonstrate how voice technology can support independence for clients with mobility or hand function limitations, including those living with conditions such as MND, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, arthritis, or spinal cord injury.
Through live demonstrations on beds in the showroom, attendees will gain hands-on experience with YourVoice and learn how to integrate voice control into clinical recommendations, funding applications, and home environments.
Participants will leave with:
1. Understanding the technology
o How the YourVoice module retrofits to a wide range of bed brands (including Aidacare ComfiMotion ActivCare).
o Integration with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit (via Matter).
2. Clinical applications
o Identifying clients who may benefit from voice-enabled beds.
o Case examples of enhanced independence and reduced carer reliance.
3. Funding pathways
o NDIS, My Aged Care, and private purchase options.
o How to document voice control in AT prescriptions and justification reports.
4. Practical demonstration
o Voice commands in action (position changes, presets, safety features).
o Discussion of set-up requirements (Wi-Fi, smart speakers, UPS backup options).
Presenter
Gregan McMahon is the founder and CEO of YourVoice, an Australian assistive technology venture specialising in smart voice solutions for adjustable beds. With a background in both technology and aged/disability care markets, Gregan is passionate about creating practical, affordable solutions that improve independence, dignity, and quality of life.
YourVoice is currently being piloted across Aidacare showrooms in Queensland, offering OTs and clients an innovative new pathway to access voice-enabled adjustable beds.
