- **Event Description**: In Zeiten von Techno und Trance etablierten sie 1995 in Hamburg eine Unterart der House-Music, den sogenannten Disco-House, indem sie auf den Plattentellern elektronische House-Beats mit klassischen Disco-Grooves kombinierten. Die Reise führte The Disco Boys über eigene Veranstaltungen, viele Singles, eine eigene Mix-Compilation-Serie, alle namhaften elektronischen Musik-Festivals, bis hin zu vielen Auslandsauftritten, wie z.B. schon 2005 einer Mini-Tour durch China, was damals eher ungewöhnlich war.

Das Motto von Raphael Krickow und Gordon Hollenga war nie ausschließlich die DJ-Selbstverwirklichung, sondern die Mission, Menschen in einer Clubnacht mit auf eine Reise zu nehmen und sie zu Musik zum Tanzen zu bringen, zu der sie vorher nicht getanzt hätten.

Was 1995 begann, hatte 2005 den ersten Höhepunkt mit dem mit Platin prämierten Hit „For You“. Durch ihn wurden sie bei den “Dance Music Awards” mit dem Publikumspreis "Best House Artist" ausgezeichnet und 2014 kam „For You“ auf Platz 6 bei der „Ultimativen Chart Show“ von SAT1 zum Thema „Der erfolgreichste Dauerbrenner aller Zeiten“.
