Chippewa Township is partnering with the Blackhawk High School Swim Team to offer two weeks of progressive swim camps! Campers will be placed into one of three levels at the start of camp, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Whether campers do one week or two, there will be advancement options throughout both sessions for all campers. This is NOT a learn to swim camp, all campers who attend must be able to keep afloat without assistance, and be able to swim at least 30 feet on their own. We encourage beginners to competitive swimmers to attend as we will have small group instruction for all levels.
Level Descriptions:
Beginner: Will focus on the basics, learning and developing freestyle and back strokes, and breathing techniques.
Intermediate: Learn the basics of all four strokes (freestyle, back, butterfly, breast) and work on endurance techniques.
Advanced: focus on detailed technical skills for all four strokes and pre-competition skills.
You do not have to attend session #1 to be able to attend session #2 - both are freestanding but if you attend session #1, you will continue to build upon your skills in session #2.
Camp takes place at the Blackhawk High School Pool!
Camp Rates:
$150/Week for Chippewa Residents
$175/Week for Non-Residents
