- **Event Description**: South Durham Society of Engineers will be hosting this years Stephensons Trials which is the 70th event, hosted by various engineering groups across the North.   Steam drivers will be bring their miniature locomotives from across the North to compete in this unique event.  Expect to see 3 different classes of locos of various designs compete by pulling weights around our track at Hurworth Grange.  Scores for the highest weight and distance travelled.   

Spectators welcome to visit this event and cheer on the drivers.  An ideal opportunity to see what our engineering club do and speak to members.  We will not be running passenger rides during this event.
