Come home to Mother Nature. A great time of the year to go visiting these places around Darjeeling when the hills turn orange with the fruits ready for plucking. Welcome to Sittong, popularly known as the Orange Valley of the Himalayas. Stay here for 2 nights to explore the places around.
Our trip will take you further to Ghoom for an immersive tea experience. Stay in an old Victorian bungalow overlooking the hills at Tumsong Tea Retreat. The elegant rooms are equipped with a bath tub and tea and coffee maker. Stay for two nights here to be amazed at the beauty around. Explore and experience the tea gardens here. Look out and you will have Kangchendzonga in front of you.
ACCOMMODATION :
At Sittong (AP Plan - Room + Breakfast + Lunch + Evening tea snacks + Dinner) Nice cosy bed rooms in home stays, with attached toilets (with WC and running water)
At Tumsong Tea Retreat, Ghoom (AP Plan - Room + Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner. No Evening snacks included in Plan) :
a) 2 Mountain View Rooms and 1 Garden View Room on the first floor
b) 1 Garden View Room on the ground floor
TRANSPORT :
Sumo or Bolero or Max (All Non AC).
FOOD PLAN:
From breakfast on December 13 to breakfast on December 17.
All food as per our plan and at our designated places.
INCLUSIONS:
1. 3AC class Train fare of Rs 945/- for 3AC in Darjeeling Mail and Rs 1495/- in CC of 22302 Vande Bharat. (Online and Agent charges will be additional if booked by us. If you book on your own the amounts mentioned will be deucted from the package value)
2. All food as mentioned
3. Accommodation on double sharing
4. Reserved vehicle for tours and transfer
5. A joy ride on Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Darjeeling to Ghoom and back. Coaches pulled by a heritage steam engine.
EXCLUSIONS:
1. Coolie, cartage expenses
2. Any food or beverage or mineral water consumed which is outside our package
3. Guide charges
4. Usage of vehicle besides our designated route and time.
5. Request for special menus or additional items other than what is available in package.
6. Barbecue and Bonfire charges
7. Evening snacks and tea at Tumsong Tea Retreat
DISCLAIMER:
1 We do not have any control over the quality/maintenance of rooms in Home Stay, although we try our best to give the best possible service in hills
2. Change of plans may happen in case of any political disturbance or natural calamities. No refunds will be given in such cases.
3. We do not have any control over the quality of food and menu served in Home stay. Infact these are standard menus which are served to all guests.
PAYMENT:
1. 20% of package charges on booking.
2. Another 40% of package before 150 days of the date of journey
3. The balance 40% of package charges before 120 days of the date of journey
CHARGES:
1) Rs 48750/- per head on twin sharing basis at Sittong and in a Garden facing room in Tumsong Tea Retreat
2) Rs 55,250/- per head on twin sharing basis at Sittong and in a Mountain facing room in Tumsong Tea Retreat
CANCELLATION CHARGES :
1) 20% of package money will be deducted on cancellation at any time before 180 days of the date of journey
2) 30% of package money will be deducted on cancellation at any time between 150 days to 179 days of the day of journey
3) 50% of package money will be deducted on cancellation at any time between 149 days to 120 days of the date of journey
4) 100% of package money will be deducted on cancellation at any time between 119 days to 0 days of the date of journey
