Coastal Christmas in Darien

Coastal Christmas hosted by the Darien Lions Club in downtown Darien, Georgia. Festivities kickoff at 4;30pm with Grant Chapel Presbyterian's 12th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 504 North Way in Darien. Then the parade line up starts at 5pm at Bluestein Avenue with the parade starting at 6pm, which will travel down North Way to Washington Street. All parade entries will be decorated and lighted for a festively good time. Santa of course will be showing up at the McIntosh Arts Association with some hot chocolate and cookies to share with the little ones. The inaugural chili cook off will start at 5pm by Old City Hall & DUMC. Registration is free for this event. Chili samples will be sold for $1 each with proceeds going to Empty Stocking Fund of McIntosh County. Darien DDA will have their tree lighting at 7pm at the corner of Hwy 17 and Broad Street. Local businesses will have other goodies and specials to offer our wonderful McIntosh Community.
