- **Event Name**: Use of Force: Surviving the Streets- O'Fallon
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 14 Sep, 2026 at 08:00 am – Mon, 14 Sep, 2026 at 05:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Training Force USA is proud to partner with the O'Fallon Police Department to bring this high-impact use of force training to the region.

Over 85,700 law enforcement officers were assaulted in the line of duty in 2024, a 10-year high. Sixty-four did not go home.

Surviving those encounters takes more than physical skill. It takes legal knowledge, tactical decision-making, a prepared mindset, and the ability to act decisively under extreme stress while remaining accountable to policy, law, and the public watching.

Use of Force: Surviving the Streets and Beyond is a full-day course built around the ARMs Use of Force model, developed by instructor Don Moore after decades of research into what actually reduces the severity and frequency of force incidents. The ARMs model places the officer at the center of the continuum, providing a range of strategic options to counter aggression rather than locking officers into a rigid response ladder. The result is better outcomes, stronger accountability, and fewer "lawful but awful" incidents that destroy careers and community trust.

This course is Missouri POST Certified for 4 hours of credit: 1 hour interpersonal perspectives, 2 hours technical studies, and 1 hour legal studies.

What You Will Learn
 * The legalities and case law governing use of force decisions
 * How to cultivate a winning mindset that supports intelligent decision-making under extreme stress
 * Tactics and techniques drawn from the ARMs Use of Force model
 * The 5 "C's" of police work and how they apply to force encounters
 * How to avoid "lawful but awful" incidents that are legally defensible but operationally damaging
 * The critical difference between responding and reacting, and why it matters
 * How unintentional uses of force occur and how to prevent them
 * The essentials of Duty to Intervene
 * De-escalation techniques, standards, and when they apply

Who Should Attend
All sworn and non-sworn members of the criminal justice and legal community.
