Middle Grade Book Chat - "The Lion's Run"

Great books get EVEN better when you talk about them with friends! Join us for a Middle Grade Book Chat, facilitated by the fabulous Lois Sepahban (published author and librarian at Danville High School).

We will be discussing "The Lion's Run" - a new novel by Sara Pennypacker. This event is geared to readers ages 10-14.

"The Lion's Run" is an engrossing historical fiction novel, set during WWII. The main character is a teenaged boy who joins the French resistance to quietly fight the Nazi occupation of his small town. He is joined by an intrepid British girl who is determined to save her horse from the Nazis. Full of action, daring, and heartbreak, the book asks us to consider - "can we be brave...even if we are afraid?"

The $20 registration fee includes a hardcover copy of the book, available for pickup at the bookstore.
