What: Good Housekeeping & Pollution Prevention Workshop for Municipal & County Employees
When: Thursday, November 6, 2025, 8 am-noon, check-in begins at 7:30 am

Who should attend: As part of the MS4 General Permit from IDEM,
-employees who are responsible for daily municipal and county operations that influence local water quality are required to complete annual training on good housekeeping and pollution prevention.
-includes anyone who maintains equipment/vehicles or uses large amounts of any chemicals (cleaning, pesticides).
-Other employees who are out in the field are encouraged to complete annual training on these topics.

Workshop description:
The municipal pollution prevention and good housekeeping workshop will cover the importance of stormwater quality, current regulations, and lessons learned from the past year’s facility inspections and audits. It will also provide in-depth information on spill prevention and response and end with an interactive game which will help participants learn to evaluate common stormwater pollution prevention practices at municipal facilities.
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
