Some concerts you attend. Some you enter.
On April 4th, Cherry Hill Chamber Orchestra presents Impressions — an intimate afternoon with nine cellists who didn't just show up to perform. They said yes to each other first.
These musicians found each other the way musicians do — in orchestras, at chamber music events, in rehearsal rooms and parking lots after late performances.
And yes, cellists do get together after concerts. They talk, they laugh, they form opinions. First impressions.
Woven into the afternoon are those stories. How they met. What they thought. It can be funny. It can be sweet. It can be short. The point is to let you see the people behind the cellos — and to make you wonder about everything that happens in the music world that you never get to see.
The program moves from the dramatic to the tender, the solo to the ensemble. But the throughline is human. These are musicians who chose each other. And for one afternoon, they're choosing you too.
Come expecting music. Leave carrying something you didn't have when you walked in.
Doors open at 2:30pm. Conversations and music begin at 3:00pm.
