- **Event Description**: The Town will hold a tree planting ceremony at the Riverside Elementary School on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:00 am to celebrate Arbor Day (April 25, 2025).  There will be student representatives participating in the ceremony, and the planting of Weeping Cherry tree and one Yoshino Cherry tree donated by the Danvers Garden Club and the Corliss Brothers Nursery.  This program is a combined effort between the DPW Forestry Division, Danvers Garden Club, Corliss Brothers and Riverside Elementary School. 

Arbor Day is celebrated across the nation in all 50 states on the last Friday in April. Trees play a critical role in creating a healthier, safer, and more beautiful community. They help moderate temperature, clean our air, filter our water, produce oxygen needed for all living things, and are the key to creating diverse ecosystems worldwide.
