বৈশাখ মেলা ১৪৩৩ -Bangla New Year 1433, is on the horizon! This is an event that is rooted deep into our identity as Bengalis. Back home the musical soiree at dawn, the traditional festive rally of the fine arts institute, and the countless meals all bring out the Bengali within us.
Dear friends, Australia Bangladesh Association in conjunction with other Bangladeshi socio-cultural groups and individuals, organizing a day-long event Boishakhi Mela (বৈশাখী মেলা ১৪৩৩) on Sunday 11th April of 2026. The details:
Date: 11th April Saturday
Time: 12:00 Noon to 7:00 pm
Venue: Gloria Pyke netball complex
The event will consist of orchestrating cultural performances including songs, dances, drama, face painting, and poetry recitation and arrays of stalls boasting an assortment of foods – sweets/savory including Biriyani, Khichuri, Panta-ilish, Doi-mishti, Samosa, Piyaju, Chotpoti, Fuchka, Jhal Muri and many more plus deshi jewelry/boutiques/apparels and various merchandise.
There will be ample fun activities for the kids too.
