CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
This is a reminder and invitation to organizations and individuals who wish to donate a Christmas tree and all of it's trimmings. These trees are passed along to InterFaith Caregivers and each tree is given to a family of need in the community it was donated from.
We make this Christmas tree event into a competition.
First, we have a big tree decorating party for those donating a tree. This years party will be on December 4th, 5-8:00 pm. This is always a fun evening of food, snacks, beverages, and "friendly" competition as the trees are decorated! If you or your organization cannot attend that night, call and we can make arrangements for you to come at another time to set up your tree.
You can donate a tree and decorations in boxes, but unless you set-up and decorate, your tree is not part of the competition, but is still passed onto InterFaith Caregivers.
We have Fire Departments, Lions Clubs, Charity Organizations, Businesses and Individuals who take part in this event.
During the 3 days of Christmas at The Forts, each visitor, including children, are given a free ticket to vote on their favorite tree. Once the event is over, we announce on our Facebook page who "won" first, second and third place. If this is your first time doing this with us, we want you to know, the only thing your organization or yourself "wins" for placement is the bragging rights for the year!
Last year was swept away by a rotating tree and extra "fixins".
