Why do so many of us feel the need to perform, stay guarded, overthink joy, or chase perfection just to feel “good enough”?

In this next workshop, we’ll begin Chapter 4 of Daring Greatly by Brené Brown and explore the emotional armor we build to protect ourselves from vulnerability, disappointment, shame, and rejection.

This chapter is one of the most relatable parts of the book because it touches on patterns many of us don’t even realize we’re living inside of:

• Overthinking happiness because we’re afraid something bad will happen
• Struggling to enjoy the present moment
• Feeling pressure to always perform or “have it together”
• Using perfectionism to avoid criticism or judgment
• Feeling disconnected from ourselves underneath the image we present

We’ll also explore:

✨ How perfectionism quietly fuels shame and exhaustion
✨ The difference between healthy growth and performing for approval
✨ Why self-compassion is essential for connection and courage
