Come earn the Radio Merit Badge with training provided by the Montgomery Amateur Radio Club (MARC) and Damascus Emergency Communications Team. The Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June more than 35,000 radio amateurs around the country gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.Gotta Know:You must register, arrive on time, and attend the entire session to earn the Merit Badge. No exceptions!Bring a Folding chair. Or you will have to sit on the ground (Everyone; Scouts, leaders, and chaperones).Wear your Class A uniform.Wear good footwear.Rain Gear is a good idea. We are outside under a pavilion.Bring a notebook and something to write with and write on (there are no tables to write on).Bring a Water Bottle. (as an extra water source).Site has nice restrooms.Complimentary lunch.
