It’s a good start for beginner coders. Your child will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills, learning fundamental concepts of programming and logical thinking. These will help them ease into real-world programming. It’s also a platform where children can imagine, explore, and create while having fun learning. Best of all, every student will be able to bring back his/her creations home to share. Intro to Mobile App DevelopmentThe MIT's App Inventor was created with the idea that anyone should be able to tinker, easily design and develop fully functional apps for smartphones and tablets. It uses a graphical interface which allows users to drag-and-drop visual blocks of code. The MIT App Inventor empowers children to move from technology consumption to technology creation. The course will give students an introductory experience in developing interesting Android games and applications. Intro to Microbit ProgrammingKids can program their own Micro:bit, a BBC designed pocket-sized computer which enables them to get creative with digital technology. Learning to code with JavaScript block editors, kids can build fun projects from simple rock, paper, scissors game to music-making instrument. WHY LEARN CODING- Coding is the new literacy. Learning to code prepares children for the world today.- Coding teaches the process of logical thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking.- Coding empowers students and builds their self-confidence.CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:10:1 Ratio GuaranteeWe keep the class size small, ratio of 10:1 though we often have extra mentors in the room making it 5:1. This provides more personalized attention to each student and an environment which can support holistic learning.Hands-on LearningAccording to a study, students who practice what they’re learning in a hands-on environment can often retain three and half times as much as opposed to just sitting in a lecture room and listening intently. We find that providing hands-on experiential learning environment, students are better engaged and more inquisitive. To find out more about the program, please email to aW5mbyB8IGNvZGVqdW5pb3JzICEgY29t or contact Jacqueline at 012-3377055More holiday camp info, http://codejuniors.com/school-holiday-camp-march-2019/
