Come to our December installment of SUSPENDED ANIMATION for interstellar psychedelia with TREASURES OF SOVIET ANIMATION.

This first volume of the amazing series (curated by Deaf Crocodile) showcases the best of Russia’s strange and hallucinogenic sci-fi shorts by ROMAN KACHANOV and VLADIMIR TARASOV from the 1980’s. You may have seen crumbs of this collection clipped out of context and scattered across the cosmos of Instagram reels and wondered, “WHAT IS GOING ON?!” Trust us when we say—in full context—these shorts are even more beautiful, trippy, and bizarre than you could’ve imagined!

PLUS- You better watch out, you better not cry, you better be hoarding water and ready to do battle with the roving gangs of marauders that occupy the collapsed Mars settlement! That’s right! The holidays are here and so is the dystopian wonder-wasteland we always dreamed of! Let’s celebrate this magical time of lightyear as we strap into our time vessels and look ahead to our festive old tomorrow with a SPACE CHRISTMAS OF THE FUTURE: 2000 pre-show!
