Students will learn how to develop strong premises and heighten them over the course of a scene. In the second half of the course, students will edit and punch up their material. This course includes a staged reading of student work. Prerequisite for this class is Sketch Level One at Stomping Ground. This is a writing intensive course with one to two hours of writing per week expected outside of class.This course will focus on:Establishing and heightening comedic premises in scenesParody, commercials, and satireWorking in a Writer's RoomEditing and punching up materialThis is a recurring class for seven weeks on Wednesdays from 7-9:30pm starting Wednesday, July 8.
