Mug Life: Build It, Stamp It, Sip From It

Ready to upgrade your coffee routine? Join Jo Pilston Pottery for a hands-on mug class where you’ll learn how to hand build your very own ceramic mug using the beautiful hazelnut clay—rich, warm, and perfect for cozy drinks.
In this class, students will learn essential handbuilding techniques, including scoring, slipping, and attaching handles (yes, the handle matters… a lot). You’ll also get to add personality by attaching a medallion to the front of your mug and stamping it with your favorite saying—or choose from the many stamps Jo provides if your creativity needs a jumpstart.
All supplies are provided, so just show up ready to get a little messy and have a lot of fun.
Once class is complete, Jo will take your mug back to the studio to be glazed and fired to your specifications—the magical behind-the-scenes part you don’t have to worry about.
Your finished mug will be ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks, just in time to become your new favorite cup (and the one everyone else mysteriously stops using).
✨ Fair warning: after this class, regular mugs may feel emotionally disappointing.
