- **Event Description**: For almost a year, faithful people who love God and our neighbors have gathered to pray for all who enter the ICE office. We hold signs and open and close with prayer. 
To many, this may look like a protest, but there is a distinction between a prayer vigil and a protest. 
United Methodist pastor, Rev Phil Dieke, describes it this way:
”As we gather weekly at the ICE Headquarters in Dallas we do so in a posture of vigil. We keep awake and alert even when others are 'sleeping.' This is a sign of support and solidarity, as well as a practice of discipline as we focus our attention on the injustice happening in our community and our country. We focus our attention on the humanity of each individual affected by the inhumane and illegal actions of our government. We refuse to ignore what is taking place. We stand awake. We stand alert. We stand and we pray.”

Please do not park at the ICE office. There is a Schlotzskis just north of the building; we recommend parking in that lot, but please not directly in front of the restaurant. We do not want to take the best spots from their customers. That address is 8235 N. Stemmons.
