Hidden in Plain Sight: The Queer Spine in American Art

Textiles as Art: Examining Two Fabric Works

Join Maria Yeye, Curatorial Assistant for Art of the Americas and Design and Decorative Art, to explore two newly installed textiles from the design and decorative art collection, including Camille Nixdorf Phelan’s National History Quilt, representing all 50 states and 150 prominent American cultural and political figures, which was exhibited at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.

X Marks the Spot: Contemporary Screenprinting at Brand X Editions

Join Dr. Emily Friedman, the DMA’s Allen and Kelli Questrom Assistant Curator of Prints and Drawings, for a highlights tour of our newest special exhibition, X Marks the Spot: Contemporary Screenprinting at Brand X Editions, which features some of the greatest artists of our time. Friedman will illuminate the masterful processes crafted by Brand X to create one-of-a-kind screenprints.
