21st Century Bone Health with Deb McFarland of Osteostrong

21st Century Bone Health: Osteoporosis and fall & fracture prevention is a major health concern for women and men over the age of 50. As a result of osteoporosis, 1 in 3 women over age 50 will experience fractures, as will 1 in 5 men. Approximately 20% of those who have a hip fracture die within the first year, 40% never walk independently again, and 33% require nursing home care. In our March 13 discussion you will learn about bone growth and formation, the primary causes of bone loss, and current pharmaceutical approaches for increasing bone density. Additionally, we will explore other traditional methods to improving bone density such as exercise and strength training. Until recently there have been no natural solutions available for increasing bone density over the age of 30. We will explore the most recent advanced and comprehensive approach to complete musculoskeletal strengthening, rapid increases in bone density and reduced fall & fracture risk in the elderly. About Deb McFarland - Deb McFarland is the owner of OsteoStrong of Carrollton, a wellness center providing a science & research backed, completely natural solution for improving bone density, strength, balance and posture.
