SIV course Oludeniz Turkey (6 days)
How do I progress with my flying from an “ok” pilot to a genuinely capable pilot when conditions become more demanding?
SIV course Oludeniz Turkey: If you are progressing towards cross-country flying—or if you and your loved ones take safety seriously—then SIV should be considered essential safety training. It turns normal airtime into higher-level skill. More importantly, it helps you spot problems earlier, feel what the wing is doing sooner, and time your inputs better. As a result, you recover faster and make clearer decisions under pressure.
SIV stands for Simulation d’Incident en Vol (“Simulation of Incidents in Flight”). In other words, it is structured, supervised training where you practise realistic in-flight incidents in a controlled environment. Therefore, if the wing misbehaves for real, your response is calmer, more accurate, and more timely.

Who this SIV course is for
This course is ideal if you:
Hold BHPA Club Pilot (CP) or IPPI para pro 3 or above and want a stronger safety margin
are stepping up towards Pilot rating and more demanding air
want coached, repeatable skills for collapses, stalls, spins, and rapid descents
SIV course: What you will learn
You will build practical skills in:
Recognising and managing incidents (collapses/deflations, stalls, spins, rapid descents)
Wing control (pitch, roll, and yaw control for cleaner, more accurate piloting)
Understanding glider behaviour (what modern wings do, and what pilot inputs help or hinder recovery)
Staying calm under pressure, so you apply the right input at the right time
In addition, you will learn how to build better habits before an incident starts. That way, you often prevent small issues from becoming bigger ones.
SIV flight programme: 6 flights, coached and progressive
This is a 6-day course with 6 flights in total:
5 progressive SIV training flights following the course plan
1 “à la carte” flight where you choose the focus
The “à la carte” flight lets you tailor the training to what matters most to you. For example, some pilots use it to consolidate core SIV skills. However, others may choose to try basic acrobatic manoeuvres (such as a SAT, or a stall out of a spin) where appropriate. Either way, the content is always based on your level, your wing, and the conditions, and it will be agreed with the instructor on the day.
We also build in up to two spare days to protect the programme if the weather is poor. Therefore, we can usually complete the training safely without rushing. If we finish early, then there is often time for relaxed free flying and, if conditions allow, a short XC flight to Butterfly Valley.
SIV course highlights:
Personalised coaching to match your level and goals
HD video debriefs, so progress is clear and measurable
Dedicated safety cover with a safety boat on standby and quality life jackets provided
