Explore the historic Fanshawe portraits and discover how artists capture identity, expression, and character. Learn the foundations of book binding to create your own handmade sketchbook, then use expressive materials and guided techniques to craft a self‑portrait that reflects who you are.

You’ll enjoy a rare behind‑the‑scenes look at portraits from our storeroom and spend time sketching in the Fanshawe Gallery — observing real artworks like a true artist of the 1800s.

A fun, confidence‑building workshop that celebrates every child as an icon in their own right.
