Himalayan Balsam is an invasive plant taking over our local riverbanks, smothering native wildflowers, and causing bank erosion. The good news? It has incredibly shallow roots and is strangely satisfying to pull up! We need your hands to help 'bash' it out of the Gores brook ecosystem before it sets seed. No experience is needed—it is a fun, social, and impactful way to protect our local wildlife!

?️ Date: Saturday 27th June⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 14:00 PM (Feel free to stay for an hour or the full session!)

? Meeting Point: Goresbrook Park Hedgemans Road entrance

? What to bring/wear: Sturdy boots (waders and safety gloves will be provided) Long trousers and long-sleeved tops (essential to guard against nettles and brambles) Bring your own lunch and a water bottle to stay hydrated. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided at lunch

? Who can join? Everyone is welcome! Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times as we will be working near the watercourses. Come along, meet fellow community members, and let's give the GoresBrook some love!
