- **Event Description**: Join us as we meet and talk with author Pat Cunningham Devoto about her new book and memoir, "Bookin’ It in the Big House" as she takes us on a journey through her almost decade running a book club during her time working with the Montgomery Women’s Facility.

 Devoto is the mother of two sons, two daughters-in-law, and four darling grandchildren, and says, "I'm lucky to be part of a large, close-knit, (32 at this year'sThanksgiving gathering) family."

At various times in her life, she has taught high school history and economics, tried her hand at tennis, been licensed as a private pilot, and of course, writing! 

    Some of her more memorable experiences as a result of writing have been: Having her second novel selected as the book of the year for, Alamance County Reads, in North Carolina, being a featured author in Southern Living, being a Books-a-Million President’s pick, being a featured Alabama Author for Cullman City Schools, in North Alabama, and having her first novel, that she morphed into a play, win a reading at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. 

We hope you will enjoy this event that was made possible by the "Friends of Dadeville Public Library." Also courtesy of the FODPL, the first ten patrons will be given a free copy of the book signed by the author.
