You will have the opportunity to take a vehicle on the track of the Colorado National Speedway and complete a pre-prescribed skills test along with a professional driver. This is not a speed or racing event. A professional driver will be there to guide you through the course.During the skills test, judges will provide you with a score at the end, based on different factors. You will be placed on a leaderboard with the opportunity to win a YETI COOLER.Regenerative Braking ChallengeOn the drag strip, you will have the chance to test regenerative braking on EVs. We will have you accelerate to 30 MPH, then release the acceleration to see how regenerative braking works in real time. The point of this event is to learn and experience what regenerative braking feels like, not how fast an EV can go. There is no competition involved in this challenge.EV Ride and DriveIf you're curious about how an EV handles outside of the skills test, we are also offering an EV ride and drive where you can take an EV around the block to see what it’s like on the open road.ExpoWhile you wait, you can visit one of our booths to learn more about EV ownership, charging, utility engagement, and available funding.
