Free, register now!About this EventThe MODINA Symposium opens a space for critical and philosophical reflection on the intersections of dance, technology, and AI, bringing together dance-makers, creative coders, researchers, and audiences for a day of keynotes, a lecture performance, and panel discussions.Morning Keynotes & PanelDr. Einav Katan-Schmid: “Affectos Digitalos: Artificial and Embodied Reflections on Ethics and the Digital Reproduction of Feelings” – exploring how dance philosophy and embodied knowledge engage with AI, ethics, and affect.Jens Heitjohann: “Exploring Spheres beyond the binary system (AT)” – highlighting curatorial approaches on artistic works that explore technologies beyond Eurocentrist knowledges systems.The morning sessions will be followed by an open panel discussion with MODINA artists, encouraging philosophical and theoretical reflection.Afternoon Keynote & PanelClémence Debaig: “Dancing with the Machines: Creative Agency, Human Connection and Tech Politics” – examining the ethical and human-centered implications of working with digital technologies in dance.This session will also be followed by a panel discussion, connecting theory to concrete technological practices and artistic experimentation.Closing Lecture PerformanceCharlotte Triebus: “Precious Camouflage: The Code – an artistic commentary on bodies, artificial intelligence, and the politics of the visible (AT)”, performed for the first time to an international audience.The symposium is conceived as a shared thinking space, where artistic practice meets theoretical reflection, and MODINA’s research insights are opened to a wider community.Attendance is free, but registration is required.The full programme and schedule will be published in January.___Recording & Live Stream NoticePlease note that the symposium will be video recorded and live streamed.
