TRIOSSIA to międzynarodowe trio akordeonowe tworzone przez Dawida Rydza, José Valente i Flemminga Valmundssona – absolwentów Królewskiej Duńskiej Akademii Muzycznej.

Zespół specjalizuje się w wykonywaniu autorskich transkrypcji arcydzieł muzyki klasycznej oraz prawykonaniach utworów współczesnych napisanych specjalnie dla tego składu. Mimo krótkiej działalności koncertował już m.in. w Wigmore Hall w Londynie, Pierre Boulez Saal w Berlinie, a także w Danii i Polsce. W 2022 roku TRIOSSIA jako pierwszy zespół akordeonowy w historii znalazł się w finale prestiżowych przesłuchań Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) w Londynie.

Nazwa zespołu nawiązuje do włoskiego terminu muzycznego ossia („alternatywnie”). Z lekkim przymrużeniem oka artyści odwracają jednak jego znaczenie, wybierając nie prostsze, lecz bardziej wymagające rozwiązania artystyczne, tworząc oryginalne interpretacje i odkrywając nowe możliwości brzmieniowe akordeonu.

TRIOSSIA is an international accordion trio formed by Dawid Rydz, José Valente and Flemming Valmundsson, graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

The ensemble specialises in original transcriptions of classical masterpieces as well as premieres of contemporary works written especially for this unique instrumentation. Despite its relatively short history, TRIOSSIA has already performed at Wigmore Hall in London, Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, and in Denmark and Poland. In 2022, the trio became the first accordion ensemble ever to reach the finals of the prestigious Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) auditions in London.

The ensemble's name refers to the Italian musical term ossia ("alternatively"). With a touch of irony, however, the musicians embrace the more demanding path, creating original interpretations and exploring the full expressive potential of the accordion.
