Each year, walkers, runners, donor families, transplant recipients, volunteers and community supporters come together to celebrate the gift of life and honor the lifesaving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation. This meaningful event helps raise awareness for donor registration while recognizing the donors, families and recipients whose stories inspire our mission every day. Participants can take part in a timed 5K run or a non-competitive walk, making the event welcoming for all ages, fitness levels, families, teams and community groups. Event highlights include the Legacy Garden, a special tribute space honoring donors and the lives they changed, along with family-friendly activities and opportunities to connect with the donation and transplant community. In partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers, this year's Gift of Life Walk & Run will feature appearances by a Cavs Legend, taking photos and signing autographs, Moondog, the Cavs mascot and The Cavs Entertainment Team will amp people up before the run. Special Guest Stefani Schaefer will interview Lifebanc CEO, Katie Payne before the Legacy Garden ceremony. The Cavaliers will be giving away a signed basketball to a lucky Team Cavs racer and everyone who registers will be entered to win an autographed Cavs jersey from Lifebanc and The Cavs Whether you walk, run, fundraise, volunteer, sponsor or simply show up in support, your participation helps Lifebanc save and heal lives through organ, eye and tissue donation, advocacy and community education.
