Check the Capitol Chapter website for more details: https://sites.google.com/site/capitolchapterccc/events/rites-of-spring LOCATION / STAGING: The Rites of Spring will be staged out of the Whiskey Creek Campground located near Custer, MI approximately 20 miles west of Baldwin. Whiskey Creek Campground 5080 Sippy Rd Custer, MI 49405 Reservations by Phone: 231-898-2030 Reservations Online: http://www.whiskeycreekcamp.com There will be plenty of available field camping for this event, with access to bathrooms, showers, and the indoor pool! Register for field camping upon arrival. There is also a camp store on site with pizza, snacks and a variety of convenience items for sale. Saturday afternoon, May 2, Corey Parlin, the Great Lakes Moto Coach will host a special suspension/setup clinic immediately following the prize drawing (same location) behind the camp store. Don't miss it! TRAIL: Big-O and Little-O Trails - 100 miles of single track Motorcycle Trail with cutoff options. - Food and gas available at campground and along the trail. Kids' Loop - Private property trails for dirtbikes and ATVs. CAMPING: Limited modern camping is available, with plenty of field camping right at the staging area. See campground information above. ACCOMMODATIONS: Motels and lodges can be found nearby in Baldwin and Branch. SIGN-UP / SOUND CHECK: Sign-up and sound check will take place at the staging area. Friday: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Sunday: 9:00 - 11:00 AM RIDE FEES: CCC Member: $30 Two days / $20 Sunday only CCC Family Weekend: $50 Two days / $30 Sunday only PRIZE DRAWING: Plenty of prizes will be awarded to registered participants on Saturday afternoon! RIDER EDUCATION: Riders under age 16 are required to present a ORV Safety Training certificate. Riders must be current CCC members. Memberships are available at sign-up but please renew early by mail or through the club's website at cccmi.net. Both ORV stickers are required and are available at the staging area. Vehicles must be equipped with a USFS-approved spark arrestor and pass a 94 db sound check. We have special permission for participants with unplated motorcycles to ride the Big-O Trail, which normally requires a Secretary of State license plate. Only motorcycles can be ridden from Whiskey Creek Campground, due to road and trail restrictions. Headlights and taillights are required. A limited number of lighting kits will be available for purchase at signup. Motorcycles without lights and quads (under 50" wide) can be trailered to the Little-O parking lot. They can be ridden by event participants on motorcycles and quads. Per Michigan state law, all riders 16 years of age and younger must be under direct adult supervision (on private or public land). Quad riders must be 12 years of age or older (on private or public land). CCC ANNUAL MEETING: The Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan's Annual Membership Meeting will be held Saturday evening.
